This course provides a historical survey of world politics since the end of World War II. The course discusses and analyzes social, economic, and intellectual developments, such as the impact of climate change, technology, science, and the arts, in the context of the interplay of democracy and authoritarianism, capitalism and socialism, as well as nationalism and globalization.
The main focus of the course is on how national and international events have affected people's daily lives.
